Hearth House

Giving a 75-year-old house on a noisy street a quiet reset

Set along a busy road in Summit, NJ, we reconnected the home to its rear garden with a warm and tactile material palette—stone, plaster, walnut, brass—and reoriented daily life around light, views, access, and the hearth.

The hearth previously felt as a cluttered afterthought rather than a central place to bring family and friends together.

What was once closed off and disconnected is now a calm and grounded place to gather, play, and breathe.
